The five-piece is currently finishing up their six-date final farewell tour. They stopped in Oshawa at the soon to be closing The Dungeon on June 7. Opening bands Oceans, Sydney and other Durham Region local bands built up the bill. Considering how loyal Rosesdead has been to Oshawa’s hardcore fans, the venue didn’t fill. It was almost empty until the headliners approached the stage, but still had a staggering turn out. Rosesdead played a mix of old and new songs giving the audience what they wanted for their last show ever in Oshawa. They played one of their most memorable sets at The Dungeon as fans chanted for an encore. Oshawa’s last chance to throwdown to Rosesdead was definitely unforgettable. The band ends their seven-year run as one of Ontario’s top hardcore bands in Hamilton on June 14. It’s definitely sad to see a band like this quit but every ending brings a new beginning, so we’ll just have to wait and see where Ontario hardcore emerges next. www.myspace.com/rosesdead www.rosesdead.net |
