Joey grew up on a farm just outside of Winnipeg, then moved to Winnipeg when she was 8. Her first big concert was the Smashing Pumpkins in 1995 and couldn’t get enough of music after that.

Joey started taking pictures of bands in 1999 because her school had a big music scene and she was friends with most of the bands. Now she is huge into the scene, taking pictures of tons of the bands in Winnipeg, occasionally putting on a show and letting touring bands stay at her place. She also enjoys taking portraits, wrestling, festival and wedding pictures as well.
