Q: Why the letters "WGTS"?
A: "WGTS" is an acronym for We Go To Shows.
Q: Where is WGTS based out of?
A: We are based out of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. However, we do have contributors from other cities across Canada.
Q: Does WGTS cover more than 1 genre of music?
A: We try not to limit ourselves to any particular genre, our main focus is anything independant and Canadian, however our contributors are allowed to cover whatever they are into at the time, this allows us to cover more genres of music.
Q: Can I use the photos on WGTS else where?
A: Go for it! As long as you don't remove our logo from the photo. Just send us an email letting us know. We encourage people to use our photos.
Q: Can I use a WGTS article else where?
A: Just email us letting us know you would like to use the article, we don't mind. We do ask that you give credit to WGTS Magazine and the writer.
Q: How often does WGTS update their website?
A: We usually have daily updates. We try to be the first ones with photos from a show or a review from an album that hasn't been released yet so as soon as we have it, it goes up on the site.
Q: How do I get on the WGTS mailing list?
A: On every page of our website on the top right corner there is a box you can type your email into and then hit the "Submit" button.
Q: How do I get in touch with a WGTS Contributor?
A: Visit our Contributors section, their emails are there.
Q: How do your contests work?
A: Our contests aren't so much "contests" more than they are give-aways. Just fill out the ballot located on every contest page and submit it. We randomly select the winner.
Q: Does WGTS also do shows themselves?
A: We occasionally do put on our own concerts but that is not our main focus.
Q: How do I contribute to WGTS (photos and/or articles)?
A: We are always looking for new contributors, if you are serious about becoming part of the WGTS family then please fill out an applicaton that can be located on our Contributors page.
Q: I sent in an application, but didn't get a reply. Does this mean I've been denied?
A: It could take us 1 day to 6 months to reply back to an application you fill out. Don't worry, we never delete any applications! You will eventually get a reply.
Q: Can WGTS come out to my band's show and take photos?
A: Our photographers have the freedom of covering any shows they wish. We cannot force them to any shows, however you can send us an email with the show info and we will offer it to our photographers, we will reply if we have a photographer who would like to come out.
Q: How do I get my band's album reviewed on WGTS?
A: We try to review as many albums as possible but it could take awhile. You can email us letting us know you wish to have your album reviewed and we will send you instructions.
Q: I sent in my band's album but the review hasn't been posted?
A: Sending us your album does not gaurantee that it will be reviewed. However, it could take awhile until it gets mailed out to an available writer so just stay patient.
Q: Will you guys have photos to a show I went to?
A: The only way to find that out is to keep checking back!
